This past week, violent clashes broke out between two militia groups in Tajoura, a suburb of the capital. The fighting occurred in an civilian-populated neighborhood. Though the major fighting has moved out of the capital, this is a reminder of the strong spirit of violence and revenge present in this country.
Father God, only by your power and by your Spirit will the walls of violence, hatred and disunity be broken through and replaced with love, forgiveness and unity. We stand in faith asking for a breakthrough for the cycle of violence to be stopped and for the people of Libya to learn what it means to love their enemies.
